How to Choose an Ambulance Service You Can Trust
You usually choose an ambulance service in the worst thirty seconds of your week. These checks take almost no time.
1. Someone answers immediately
A service that advertises 24/7 but takes five rings at night is not 24/7.
2. They ask about the patient
A good dispatcher asks about the condition and oxygen before quoting. One who only asks for the address is sending a van, not an ambulance.
3. The fare is stated upfront
A single total, agreed before dispatch, with no renegotiation once the patient is loaded.
4. A trained attendant travels along
Ask directly. Driver-only transport is not appropriate for an unstable patient.
5. The right unit is available
If you need a ventilator, confirm the ICU unit is free right now rather than being promised in an hour.
6. Honest response time
"Ten minutes" for an address forty minutes away is a warning sign, not good service.
7. Consistent, reachable business details
The same phone number on their website, WhatsApp and Google listing, and a person who follows up if you have a complaint.
